Staff Reports April 17, 2008 CommentsPrintEmail Big O Tires of Greeley will join other locations in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming in hosting a Pump 'Em Up event in stores Saturday through Tuesday.
The event is designed to encourage oil conservation by teaching customers the importance of properly inflated tires to not only help the environment but to save money on fuel costs. The stores will give away complimentary tire gauges to encourage people to check tire pressure regularly, and officials will explain the benefits of using nitrogen in tires. Nitrogen is heavier than air and does not escape through the rubber walls of tires, so it does not expand and contract in tires with warmer and cooler temperatures.
The Greeley location of Big O Tires is 3325 23rd Ave. More information is available at www.pumpemup.org.
