Staff Reports April 12, 2008 CommentsPrintEmail DENVER -- The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission will conduct two public hearings in June about the proposed draft rules for oil and gas development in Colorado.
The first hearing will be in Grand Junction; the second will be in Denver. The date, place and time of the Denver hearing has not been set.
In 2007, the Colorado Legislature unanimously passed House Bills 1298 and 1341 that required the commission to balance energy development with public health and safety, wildlife and the environment. Gov. Bill Ritter signed the bills into law and the proposed draft rules have been posted on the commission Web site, http://cogcc.state.co.us/.
