Prenatal classes coming

Nutrition will be one of the main topics on the menu for discussion at a new class for pregnant women in Weld County.

The new series of classes, which are free, will begin March 20 and will feature six, two-hour long sessions that will be taught in both English and Spanish.

Topics discussed will include how much weight pregnant mothers should gain as well as foods that are acceptable for mothers and newborn babies.

Classes in English will meet from 10 a.m. to noon every Thursday while Spanish classes will meet from 12:45-2:45 p.m. Both classes will meet in Room 103 of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, 1555 N. 17th Ave. in Greeley.

Those attending all sessions will receive a free infant car seat, according to the release.
